What a big board represents

A big board is your ordered evaluation of prospects. Team needs and draft order may influence a mock draft, but your board can express how you rate the players themselves. BigBoardBuilder gives you tools to make those judgments and share the rankings.

Grades and rankings

Score the attributes relevant to a player's position. With equal weights, the overall grade is the average of the attributes you have scored. A custom template lets you change each attribute's influence. Ungraded attributes are excluded rather than treated as zero; a recorded zero remains a real score. You can also use a manual overall grade or manual board order.

Review completeness describes how much of the evaluation you have filled in. It is separate from the grade. Your personal grades are not an official scouting consensus.

Player data and eligibility

Our player catalog supports CollegeFootballData imports and attributed research records. A displayed update date records when that information was imported or observed, not independent verification of every field. Missing measurements and statistics stay unavailable; we do not substitute invented values.

Participation across three college seasons is a research filter. It does not, by itself, establish NFL draft eligibility. Declaration and eligibility are labeled unverified unless a sourced status is available. Directory listings can include historical research records.

News and film references

News cards link to the original publisher and show its publication time. Articles are matched by player identity and supporting school information; ambiguous matches require editorial review. A matched article is still the publisher's reporting. Read the linked source for context, particularly for injury reports, transfers and draft declarations.

Film links point to external sources. A link does not grant reproduction rights. Our news collection uses approved sources and only displays excerpts where their configured permissions allow it.

Original analysis and corrections

Original analysis carries a contributor byline, publication date and source references. Evaluations are opinions and can change as more film and data become available. Substantive edits update the article's modification date. Editors can correct player matches or remove an imported story without altering users' private evaluations.

Private work and public sharing

Your private notes, custom statistics and film notebook stay in your workspace. Publishing a board shares the public ranking fields and description. Review those fields before sharing a link.
